Asher Turney is a local Alabama resident and graduate of Sparkman High School. He graduate of Fisk University and received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College. He finished his internship in association with Harvard Medical School at the renowned Massachusetts General Hospital. He has been trained in neurosurgery and occupational medicine. He completed a masters of business administration from Emory Goizueta Business School. He is currently part of Meharry Medical College's Occupational and Preventive Medicine Department. He is currently is in the pubic health program in the School of Graduate Studies set to receive a master in public health in 2011. He is committed to improving health disparities and learning to live free, happy and healthy.
